Example media file is:
MKV, PMS shows audio codec as AAC, display title English (AAC 5.1), subtitles embedded as SRT, display title Unknown (SRT).
Key settings on server are:
Preferred audio English, Preferred subtitles English, Auto-select subtitle as manual, Only show non-SDH, Only show Forced subtitles, Agents has local assets disabled (I’m trying everything here!)
Key settings in AppleTV and AppleTV player are:
Burn subtitles Auto, Override Subtitles styles On, Subtitles Bottom in Plex. Subtitle Language Off in AppleTV settings.
Opening to play on Plex Web, no subtitles show. I click in the subtitles menu and None is ticked but there is indeed the option for Unknown (SRT). This is the behaviour I’m expecting.
Opening to play on AppleTV and iOS Plex Player, instantly loads the subtitles and I have to manually go and switch it off.
I feel like I’ve tried everything here, can anyone help?
