I have a issue where all the devices that is connected to my plex server is sometimes disconnecting from my plex server and needs to re-sign in via the plex.tv\link URL. Why does this happend? it’s frustrating to get calls from family members that their tv or smarphone had been signed out randomly, and need to be signed in again. ? please help me!

You make it sound like your family is using your login credentials to access plex. I’d say let them create their own plex account. That way they can relink back to their account and they won’t have to bother you if it does un-link.

yes and no, they give me the code they get on their smartphone or smart tv and I logging in with my credentials and then I link their tv. Yes i can tell them to create their own account but it will probably be the exact same problem to have to login again and again and again… it shouldn’t be a problem? Is it somehow a limit on how many devices you can have linked to your account or plex server, i can’t find any answer on that either. Some of my family member can’t even remember what they had to breakfast, how should they be able to remember a account name and password for something that they don’t understand more than to press “play”.
It’s a genuine solution but it don’t help me. Thanks anyway!

lol. That’s my mom. I ended up saving the url on her smart phone home screen. Anytime the tv un-links she just taps the short-cut and the 4 digit code pops up. I know this is not what you are looking for and trust me, I know your pain. The whole un-linking thing did drive me nuts.
Still don’t know why it happens. Bad-ass expensive TV can’t save the damn login credentials. So much for being a smartTV.

Great to see that you have same issue! It’s actually a great ”workaround” solutions to add URL to the smartphone screen for those who can’t remember things!
I will come up with that for my family. My sis is going to be the first guinea Pig to create her own account to se if she thinks that this is better. Thanks man!
