Why does this AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Cache\Transcode\Sync+ folder keep getting files? It often adds up to 10-20 gigs of my OS drive that I keep having to manually delete. It’s not all current day like maybe something someone was currently doing so I’m confused why I have to continually clear it
Most likely: someone (either you or one your sharees who has the ‘Sync’ privilege) has (maybe inadvertently) created a large sync job for e.g. a whole library or a very large playlist, collection, or tv show.
And Plex is first creating optimized versions of all the media in this sync job and is storing them in this Sync+ folder. Then it will start transferring those files to the mobile device which requested the sync. Only after the transfer is complete, it will clear out the ‘Sync+’ folder.
