Plex mostly works OK, but sometimes slows down radically for weeks, buffering every few seconds…
Only removing security from the Wifi fixes it. Yet in general, my Wifi is quite fast (for example, as measuring access to fast.com) and poses no problems.
Logs show “speed => 741.8” and above: The Plex Media Server is not the problem. (I get the problem with servers on two different Ubuntu 18.04 machines. The Player here is on a Samsung TV.)
Why does Plex have particularly slow behavior compared to other network uses? How can I get network security and also Plex playback?
