When I add new music to my library it always has a ‘cover.jpg’ file, or sometimes a ‘folder.jpg’. Over many months, maybe more than a year now, Plex has not picked up the image at all. I have manually added the image every single time. It used to work around half the time before. It has stopped working completely.
It still dis-aggregates albums sometimes. The files are all in the same folder, and they are always meticulously meta tagged.
I have reported these issues long ago, and I have seen no improvements. It is fair to conclude the music library is just not the priority. If the album art cannot be picked up and applied reliably I cannot justify sending $5/mo. to the team. I’m not wealthy.
The movies and TV shows work smoothly, by and large. If I were a heavy video user I would have few complaints probably.
