Why is it so difficult to get subtitles and subtitle support?

<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>

Since the last update, no subtitles will work. I cannot download subtitles in the app, and manually download subtitles are not selectable. Please provide support!
