Why is it virtually impossible to locate and download older Plex Media Server versions for NAS?

The latest update to version 1.18 on my QNAP NAS seems to have messed up audio/video sync for some of my ROKU player devices, so I’d like to roll back to the previous version. I still have a copy of the prior .qpkg package that was working fine (PlexMediaServer-1.17.0.1841-d42cfa161-x86_64.qpkg), and some previous posts seem to indicate that it’s possible to roll back if you can find the right older package, but I can’t see anything in the previous posts I’ve found so far that clearly explains …
