Forums just got spammed again so I did my usual and tried to ignore the spammers but got the message ‘you have reached the maximum number of ignores’.
Why is there a maximum and can you please up it!
What are you referring to?
AFAIK the forum has no ‘ignore’ feature.
It has only a way so you can mark postings as SPAM.
There may be a limit on that ability, but this is only there to prevent misuse by trolls.

Hah, I completely forgot this feature!
Thanks for reminding me, @trudge !
@borochris yes, you can ignore forum members,
but for spammers this is not the ideal solution.
Just ‘flag’ at least one post of each spammer account to bring it to the attention of forum moderators or admins. The spammers’ accounts and all their posts will be dealt with accordingly.
It may take sometimes a while, but it will happen - inevitably. >:)
Ignoring spammers is an exercise in frustration. Like shooting flies on the wall with a 12 gauge shotgun - it kills the flies, but the holes let in more flies.
A Forum admin is pretty quick on the trigger and it’s likely before you can get them ignored more spammers have flown in to take their place.
