I have the server installed on my Linux box. It seems to be working fine. I use my Linux box as my home theater PC. So, logically I would like to play content on it. However, with no native client available, I’m kind of SOL. Kodi’s plugin doesn’t support the Live TV & DVR functionality.
I don’t use Linux but I found this on Google Plex Media Player packages for Linux
Thanks for posting this. Yes, I did try this. It appears to be a docker image of one of the embedded clients by Plex. However, after a minute or two of playback, the video starts stuttering pretty badly.
I’m running on a Gigabyte BRIX I5-4200 (Intel HD 4400 graphics), so it’s not exactly anemic…
I’ve compiled and ran PMP on various flavours of Linux. I had no problems with decoding video nor freezing on the systems I tried. What does vainfo say about your system?
I have never heard of this program before. I just installed it.

This Gigabyte has Intel onboard graphics.

I’m trying to build the client myself, but cmake is dying. Looking at the error file is confusing because it looks like it’s just running a bunch of tests to figure out compiler flags. But on the terminal I see:

Is there a good forum to ask for help when running into problems manually building PMP?
