Why no State Of The Union in Plex DVR Program Guide?

Because there’s no grid view yet I can’t browse through the channels, but I can’t find the President’s address in the Plex program guide.

Search doesn’t show it and I can’t find any Shows in the guide to watch on the major networks that are showing it live.

I’m not necessarily a fan of this president, but I still wanted to record this for later.

Am I just being daft, or is this broadcast on all of the major networks not available through Plex?

I have like tons of them…

You can look into the HDHR viewer and setup favorite channels

Thanks for that. I don’t know why it wasn’t appearing here in Atlanta’s TV listings, but it wasn’t listed on any of the major networks in the Program Guide. There was one listing of it, in SD not HD, on an obscure channel I’d never heard of, I think a Spanish language channel. And this was after a fresh update of the program guide. Strange. But thanks for your response.

What HDHR viewer are you referring to? The only thing I have that might be similar is the HDHR Config GUI application which allows me to manually tune in channels and update the firmware. This comes for some reason already installed in my Mint Linux desktop (that also is my Plex server). I can change channels in this tool and view them in VLC, but it doesn’t help me with Plex. Is this the viewer you’re referring to, or something else, maybe something within Plex I’m overlooking? Thanks.

It appeared fine in the St. Louis guides, and recorded properly. It was most likely an issue with your local guide data.

@manceplex this is what I was talking about

It is a 3rd party plugin for Plex that allows you to watch LiveTV, it was around before Plex built in the LiveTV support and is a different way to watch LiveTV and personally due to no EPG and existing functionality I tend to use this more still for LiveTV.

Awesome! Thanks! Now I’m curious to try it and see if it’s better than Plex’s live TV function…
