Why not signed?

Server Version#: 1.22.2.4282-6000
Player Version#: 4.54.5

Dumb question but why is it when I install a new version of the Plex server on my Synology it warns me that the application was not signed. IOW, why don’t you sign your images?

And since you asked me about the player version, this being the web player version, why is it that most videos that play in browser tabs maximize the video by hitting the “f” key yet Plex uses the “/”? I mean why not be consistent with what most other video players use. Even VLC, for example, uses “f” for fullscreen…

For DSM 6 (what you have)

For DSM 7 - Synology is the only signing authority. This is a fundamental change in DSM 7

Oh well. My error. I just assumed the image was unsigned. Thanks for the solution!

Any idea of why they use “/” instead of “f” for fullscreen?

It’s a relatively long standing shortcut within Plex.
There’s a feature suggestion to allow using f instead (or in addition).

Yeah, and it’s only 3 years old…. I can only imagine the massive code change required… I know I’m being grumpy… :disappointed:
