I am wondering what you can do with Plex, do you need to have all your stuff on your computer to be able to stream to Plex? or is it like Kodi you can add addons or anything so you can stream? or is it cloud possibility? whyy choosing Plex over Kodi? sorry for my random and strange questions, but i am really wondering whats so cool about it, Kodi is free, Plex is not, no need to download with Kodi either, i don’t mind buying things tho, i thought about it, but i just wanna know the purpose of the coolness from Plex, and how long is the lifetime pricedrop? no hate tho, but i just try to understand what cool features it really got, haha,

Plex is simply the best media manager for my use. It is better and more flexible that its two main “competitors” Emby and Kodi.
It is far from perfect but its client/server system and the rather large variety of devices that run one or the other or both make it just to one go to system for me.
As far as addons goes: For me they are pretty unimportant but it seems that there are nearly as many that work well for Plex as there is for Kodi. That is pretty amazing as the Plex API for addons is somewhat less than fully documented.
I have devices that support all of the systems I mentioned and I only use Emby about once every six to eight months to see if the deficiencies have been addressed. I use Kodi a little more often than that as it does not require a separate server to be installed but I still use it rarely because, for me, Plex is simply better.
Ohhhh, thank you guys! but you do need to have the things you wanna use on the computer? i prefer cloud or addons tho, or even mega or drive to put it on so its not on my computer, thats why i use Kodi, for streaming things from different sources, but thank you for the answers everyone! really appreciated…
oh, and i know Plex can be used free, but putting an option with lifetime is very dangerous, i always want to do it then if i like something, XD
If all you want to do is stream content from some website than Kodi is probably a better fit
