Hi,
This thread is the following of this one. I split it because it doesn’t concern siteConfig file anymore.
I want to plays a flv stream in a plugin. This one for example http://hd.fr.mediaplayer.allocine.fr/nmedi…fa1_vost_hd.flv
But when Plex plays it. I see black borders on the left and right sides.

If I play this file in VLC there is no black borders on the sides.

Any explication ?
Maybe because it doesn’t want to resize the movie.
OK I understand now.
The aspec ratio is not the same in Plex and in the flv file.
I need to zoom in to have it in full screen. Is there a way in a plugin to set the “type of view” like “view group” before the move start ?
There’s not. I’m still surprised that Plex shows it like that by default, seems wrong.
I think this is normal. the video has black borders on the top and the bottom so the ratio is 4/3.
I believe Plex has no functionality to guess there are black borders to zoom in. So to resize the picture to the Plex ratio, black borders are added on the left and right sides.
Do you confirm ?
Yep, confirmed
At first I was confused by what VLC was doing, but Plex is displaying it correctly. In my opinion this is a badly encoded file. With a site config you can crop it, there is no support at the moment for changing zoom modes.
