Need help, its driving me crazy
My new downloads will not play on iMac, vizo or Samsung TVs
but it will play of Apple TV without a problem
I’m running Plex Version 4.96.3 on a Synology NAS
here is a file below
/volume1/TV Shows/The Game (2021)/Season 2/The.Game.2021.S02E02.1080p.WEB.H264-GGEZ.mkv
that will not play
In your settings look in the server dashboard and see what it says as you try to play the file
What does “will not play” mean? It won’t even start? Black screen, buffering, freezing?
Do you have transcoding disabled?

will not play , will try and send you a video pf the promblem
Asked for help but no response, I have Plex on a Synology NAS. I have downloaded 2300 plus movies, they will play on vizo TV remotely, but lately everything new that I download will not play outside the network, the older MOVIES (PREVIOUSLY) downloaded will play.

Synology NAS model?
DSM 6 or DSM 7?
As @JaysPlex requests, describe “does not play.”
Do you receive an error message? If so, what does it say?
If video transcoding is disabled and Plex cannot direct play or direct stream the media, (a) Plex will refuse to play the media, and (b) you will see an error message that the server is not strong enough to convert the media.
