Hello, i read on Local subtitle , and i add to put Local Server to be my first choice for library Film,
When i edit the film It shown unknown subtitle in choice of subtitle, i select this one, but its doesnt appear in the movie. Why ?
I add those picture so you can see there is subtitles attached to this file and it wont appear![]
Last report on that subject

When you say windows apli are you talking about PlexWeb(that opens in a internet browser)?

Ahh… We here call that PlexWeb.
To be honest, it looks like you are using an updated version of PlexWeb that I don’t have. I guess the updated versions allow you to select the size of subtitle. That’s kinda cool. Anyhow, from the above pictures it seems the subtitles should be playing. I can’t see why they are not being displayed.

That I can’t help you with. I do not know PlexWeb all that much when it come to playing media.
You might try a different web browser such as Firefox or similar.
Use Plex Media Player - top of the forum/downloads/get an app.
Plexweb works in the browser - subject to all the shortcomings of trying to watch stuff in your browser.
PMP doesn’t.
Simple as that.
Still - if the subtitles aren’t there to select - you’re not doing something right.

Here is the log files and the database, you can investigate. The problem is the subtitle in every film are not appearing on my screen but it appeared as the selection choice. I cant add the files logfiles.rar its tell me the files fail to upload
Needs to be the zip file - and don’t need your database - or want it.
Just the logs - and the name of an item (or three) that’s misbehaving.

The subtitle file must be named EXACTLY LIKE THE MEDIA FILE - except, of course for ‘eng.srt’.
The subtitle file must be placed next to the media file - in the same folder.

You are also using MP4 Files:
FileBot (link in my signature) can handle that naming and structuring for you automatically or manually in seconds.
What FileBot can’t do is remove possible embedded metadata in the Title Field of MP4/M4V files. Plex will read this info and prefer it over a perfect file name/structure, but you can combat that situation by moving Local Media Assets to the bottom of every agent list you can find. All tabs in TV Shows and Movies here:

Just drag LMA to the bottom of the list and drop it. If you do have embedded metadata this will cure the issue, if you don’t it won’t matter. LMA will do what it has to from the bottom.
Local Media Assets MUST be enabled for subtitles to work. Local Media Assets MUST be moved to the bottom of each list. Moved, Not Disabled.
Renaming/restructuring is best performed OUTSIDE the library and you may need to write a new bundle for the show or movie so The Plex Dance® was invented:

- rescan library files
- empty trash
- clean bundles

Hello, the subtitle that are on my computer works it worth the effort i put on that and i thank you for the advise you told me, but the subtitle that come from exterior of my pc like the agent setup they are not working. Could tell me some parameters to set , my setup for plex will be great
… and right about here, we’re over my head.
More Advanced help is required 'cause we’re working with poorly named files and structures, not to mention a plugin that may have gone rogue.

Right, so I don’t know what that means, but I can tell you if you don’t name the files right and also name the .srt properly - you won’t get any subs.
