Wi-Fi problem (Asus USB-N10)

Hi all!

I'm new to RasPlex, so be nice. :) I tried getting RP up and running for the first time today. I have a Logitech keyboard attached to my Pi, which works out of the box. I also have an Asus USB-N10 nano Wi-Fi dongle. But RP refuses to recognize it, at least nothing is showing up under RasPlex Settings. I've tried both v0.4.1 and the new 0.5.0. Still no go.

 

I also tried to install OpenELEC 5.0.0, and the Wi-Fi works spot on in OE.

 

From what I can gather, the dongle uses a Realtek RTL8188SU chip and the r8712u driver.

 

Does anyone have any ideas on where I should start troubleshooting this?

 

I have the B+ model of Raspberry Pi.
