I'd like to replace one of my Rokus with Rasplex: I want it to work over WiFi. Can anybody suggest a wifi adaptor that has been shown to work well on a Raspberry Pi running Rasplex?
Thanks.

I use the wi-pi card. Works great.
I am going to do this also. Any list out there or other recommendations?
I have a few usb adapters around the house. I will try them and give some feedback, but it would be nice to know some sure bets.
I have an Edimax Wifi dongle (EW-7811Un). It works fine.
Take look here: http://elinux.org/RPi_VerifiedPeripherals#Working_USB_Wi-Fi_Adapters
you sir are awesome. thank you.

Did you have to do anything to get your Edimax dongle working? I just ordered one and am hoping all I have to do is put in my ssid/password to get rasplex working.

I just got mine and all that was required was setting the network settings in RasPlex Settings->Network and choosing WLAN/wlan0 then setting up all the standard wireless network information. Reboot and you should be good.

The OpenELEC guys are working on a much nicer Wifi dialog. I'll be merging in the WIP soon to see how it works...
I don't know what I'm doing wrong...
I have a Model B, running 1.37
My wifi dongle is a Comfast CF-WU710N - uses the rtl8188cus chipset, which according to the wiki is supported with the 8192 drivers.
I go to support>Rasplex settings> network and set the wifi to active (it was already on).
I go to connect - it can see my SSID, but it has a padlock, even though my SSID is open. I select it and after a while, it comes back with an error.
I checked the power save mode, etc. and it is not set for power save by default ( /sys/module/8192cu/parameters/rtw_power_mgnt = 0)
SO, where to go next?
Can I manually set the config somewhere? (I have looked - but got lost).

Solved - kind of.
I thought it may have been a power issue, so I dug out my old Belkin powered hub and plugged into that - same problem. So I plugged the keyboard into that as well, same problem. I changed to another copy of the same model dongle - same problem.
Then I looked at the 'connect' screen for a while... and noticed on the WLAN information there was a padlock, indicating a secured Wifi implementation... but my wifi is open (I live in a remote area in the third world, my family and friends are all technologically illiterate... so sue me :) )
So... I added a password to my router, rebooted the Pi, went through the connect process again and... it connected flawlessly.
So, there's a problem - it doesn't like connecting to open networks.
It's a PITA for me, I prefer an open network - we have a lot of visitors/tourists coming through and it's just easier.
So, can I do anything with logs, etc. to help anyone solve this for posterity? Just let me know.
