Will not add my Music

Hi there, total newbie so please excuse my ignorance, but I have had no problem creating a movie library but when I try to create a Music one, I’m stuck.

Much like my movies, I have one Music folder with all of my music. All files are names with the “Artist - Song” format and all of them have been updated to have accurate id3 tags so I want to use them. When I create a music folder all it does is scan for HOURS and won’t add any music.

Can anyone help? Thanks!

I have only been able to get the music library to work if I group songs into folders and add the artist’s folder in the GUI. For instance under my “Music” folder I might have:

The Eagles —
Greatest Hits----
01 - song name
02 - song 2 name
When Hell Freezes Over—
01 - song name
Bachman-Turner Overdrive—
Not Fragile-----
01 song name
Four Wheel Drive-----
01 song name
And so fourth…
