I currently play hundreds of multichannel quad or 5.1 FLACs over Plex through my Apple TV and it works flawlessly, with gapless playback. I hope this capability will continue in the “new Plex experience”. Is there any word on this feature continuing? To my knowledge there is no other solution,

They haven’t said a word about music playback on Apple TV moving forward - just that music will not be in the new app. Doesn’t mean they can’t port Plexamp over to Apple TV but they haven’t said a word about that either, so your guess is as good as ours…
