As of Yesterday i cannot access my Plex server with the windows Plex player(From 2 different machines).
The web page will work flawlessly, but the player will only work if the rely is on and even than it wont connect some times. It is all happening over the local network.
The plex server is running in a docker container on a Debian Vm.
On top of that i have tested both Andoid app and Roku app both work.
Found the problem!
It seems windows plex app would not work without a secure connection.
because i have always used it on the local network i have always accessed the plex web app by. ip. After using HTTPS to open the web-app which prompted a self singed cert, the app seemed to work again. It was very strange.
