Windows 10 Plex Server keeps crashing 4-5 minutes after launching it

Hello all,

First time I have really had an issue with Plex and am not sure what has gone wrong but suddenly the Plex Sever Application will crash about 5 minutes after launching it. Even though it is just sitting idle.

The system had previously been stable for years and the only change I can think of was I removed my 36K pictures from the directory so I could delete duplicates and fuzzy pictures (becasue I was tired of seeing them in my library) then I put the remaining 30K pictures back

I have done the following to try to resolve this but no luck

  • Upgraded to current version of Plex Server
  • Made sure windows update was current
  • Updated the graphics driver
  • Turned off the Windows Firewall
  • ran a malware scan
  • Run an SFC /scannow to verify the system file were not corrupted
  • Disabled Hardware acceleration
  • optimized the Database and Cleaned bundles
  • Removed my DVR instance (holding off on re-adding)

So after I read my post I realized that maybe the issue was the pictures library. I went ahead and moved them out of the library folder and now Plex has been stable for 12+ hours.

I am going to slowly add the photos back to see if it was some kind of overloading issue.
