I’m just posting because (1) I wanted to confirm what others have already described: that installing the windows update appears to have fixed the problem (five consecutive recordings since installing and no issues, whereas before the update it was failing nearly every recording since earlier this week) and (2) I wanted to say THANK YOU! plex community at large. Around the time this started acting up, I had done an overhaul of my home network, installed new hard wiring, a new router, transitioned my old router to be an access point, installed a new main network switch as the backbone of it all, not to mention some experimenting I had been doing with transcoder settings for optimizing my movie library. For days I assumed it was a hardware problem with my new hardware, or a setting I had changed while experimenting with optimization transcoding settings. Finally I turned to these forums and found the solution here! Deep sigh of relief now that it’s working again. If only windows didn’t force updates and would only install updates when I tell it to, this probably wouldn’t have happened… But that’s another conversation.
I read the first third and last third of this conversation and I don’t think I saw an explanation of what was actually going wrong. Has that been figured out already?
