One thing I quickly noticed with the new Oct 1809 windows update is the amount of time a library scan takes to run. Before the update a scan would take about a minute, now it’s jumped to over 15 minutes. Anything I need to check or change to get the quick scan back?
15 minutes! Dare to dream. I’m projecting about 18-24 hours for a full initial scan of my music media. It’s not even big. PLEX is just insanely slow.
I honestly have Win10 Updates turned off on my server. I don’t want something to mess up. Everything works fine so I still have an older version of PMS as well. You should be able to roll back the update if that is what the issue is. You could also try to run a disk cleanup, defrag and then restart it all.
