Windows app can't play streaming music, but works for other media

Hi, I can’t play streaming music with windows client, but I can with web client or android app, anyone have the same problem?

Stop using it. It hasn’t been updated in over a year.

For music, there is plexamp.com - if you’re up for a radically different concept.
Otherwise, use whichever client works for you.

I’ve also had this issue for many years running the Windows 10 store Plex App. Oddly enough the results are mixed. I have 5 computers with the Windows Plex app, 2 work fine playing music, 3 refuse to play music. I can browse the library and select songs, but after hitting the Play button… nothing; it just won’t play. All other video media plays fine on all computers, and all are using my local Plex Server - up to date. I’ve reported this several times through the Windows 10 Feedback Hub, but apparently to no avail.

Why don’t they fix the Windows Store Plex App?

Thanks for the PlexAmp tip… didn’t know about that until now. Music seems to playing through that on PCs where the Plex App won’t play.
