Windows Desktop player stuck on "Choose your Preferred Server"

Server Version#: 1.41.9.9961
Player Version#: Plex-1.109.0.329-ea562b95-x86_64
<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>

Windows Plex Player begins to load.
As the client starts running, it seems to skip through an option to sign in and jumps to the “Choose your Preferred Server” with an old, non-existing server selected.

  • There is another currently running server listed, but it will not let me select it.
    — Both listed servers show as “unavailable”
  • There is another server that is running (my preferred server), but it is not listed.
  • I am using a laptop, and I have tried on the same network and in a remote location/different network.
  • Other computers access the running servers without a problem.

If I click next on the non-existing server (showing unavailable), the client moves to the next screen and lists folders from the old server. However, it will not proceed further. I can go back to select the server menu, but I am still unable to choose the alternate server.

I tried uninstalling the client, rebooting the computer, and reinstalling the client to get the same results. It still seems to have the old sign-in credentials.
Is there a way to remove any prior credentials during uninstall? Maybe using regedit or …?

C:\Users\[your windows user name]\AppData\Local\Plex\plex.ini
Delete this file while the player is not running.

Scroll the left side bar all the way downwards. Click on MORE…
This should reveal all servers in your account (at least those which were active within the last few weeks).
You can access each of their libraries that way. And you can also unpin the libraries of the old server and pin those of the new server.

Deleting the plex.ini file fixed it.
Thank you
