After reinstalling plex player for windows on windows 11 the player doesn’t remember my settings. I set language to norwegian and stores the setting and I pin libraries to my home screen. The next time I start the player it is back to english language and nothing pinned.
Any ideas how to solve this?
Look for software or settings which claim to “clean” your system or “enhance your privacy”.
Those settings are mostly stored in the file plex.ini, which normally resides in C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Local\Plex
If something is clearing out that folder, or is replacing changed files with older versions, then you will lose your settings.
Keep also in mind that this folder is exclusively accessible by the logged-in user. i.e. each Windows user account has its own version of it. Which means that any settings of the player are exclusive to the Windows user account who made them.
