Windows server to Synology - moving watched history over?

Hey all,

I just got done configuring my new 1019+ and previously had a Windows server instance of plex. I have migrated all of my media files (copies, not moved) to the Synology. I have added the server to my account and created the libraries. I’m now looking for advice on what file(s) to move in order to bring over my watches history vs unwatched and if possible, the bookmarks of where I am in partially watched media (not as important).

After doing all of this, I did then find the FAQ 18/21 articles on this forum. Should I be starting over by removing all libraries I created and then following that guide? Or is there a quick and simple way to just move over the few data files I need?

Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

Did you use this FAQ?

Unfortunately, I didn’t know that FAQ existed (or think about this issue) prior to seeing it (I noted that in my OP).

The question is, FAQ 18 and FAQ 21 seem to have the same/similar title. Which am I supposed to follow?

I believe you’re supposed to follow Question 18 … then do 21 once it seems to be working.

That is correct:

FAQ 18 - How to perform the move
FAQ 21 - Removing residual Windows-isms from your caches (which aren’t compatible with Linux).
FAQ 22 - If credentials are completely out of sync after the move. (Rare but happens)
