It would be nice to see something like wireguard or tailscale integration to plex for those who are behind CGNAT. This way it can be accessed remotely without going through relay.
I recently solved exactly this problem.
My ISP provides only CGNAT, so traditional Plex Remote Access is unreliable and quickly falls back to “Not available outside your network.”
Instead of fighting with port forwarding, I installed Tailscale on my Windows Plex server and on my Android phone. The phone connects directly to the server through the Tailnet, and the Plex app can access my libraries without relying on Plex Relay.
For anyone stuck behind CGNAT, Tailscale has been a simple, secure and reliable solution.
