WISH: in Music, make 'Artist' tag searchable

While the ‘Artist’ tag is present in Plex (it will show up next to the track title) it’s not searchable.
Actually, it’s a bit more complex….when there is no ‘Album Artist’ in the metadata, then Plex uses ‘Artist’ (if present of course) and then it does show up in the search.
But if you do have a tag for ‘Album Artist’ AND ‘Artist’, then the ‘Artist’ is completely ignored in the search results!?

That’s really too bad because it could be very useful:
I was hoping to use the ‘Artist’ tag for collab albums (e.g. very common in jazz) where I could still use the main artist as ‘Album Artist’ but also add in the ‘Artist’ tag for the other artists appearing alongside the main artist.
This way, let’s say I’m searching for John Coltrane, I would be able to find every occurence of him in my music collection. Not just when he’s the bandleader, but also when for example, he appears on the Miles Davis albums (and others).
Other times, the artist I would like to search is purely a sideman or a featured artist on a specific song, and there too a searchable ‘Artist’ tag would be super useful!

I just checked this on my own setup.
When searching for an artist for whom I’ve got their own albums and contributions (e.g. where they’re part of a compilation), all their results show up in the Top Results section.

Their contributions won’t show when I’m filtering my library in Plex Web or the other regular Plex clients.

Sorry, you’re right. I was expecting the results to be shown differently, so I missed that:
The first result of the search is of course “NameOfTheArtist” with the ‘subtitle’: “Artist” - which contains all of that artist’s albums - followed then by all the other results that match the search!
I was clicking the first result - NameOfTheArtist - expecting to find ALL occurence in there, with possibly at the bottom of the page and slightly separated from the artist’s own albums, all the other results.
I guess this works too…thanks!
