My children use Plex to listen to audio books, some are in WMA format and some in MP3. The MP3 ones work fine but the WMA stutter and small chunks of sound are missed out constantly. I don’t know exactly when this happened, although it was at some point last year having worked fine for years before that and I have run through plenty of updates to see if it would get better. I only found out this was an issue when asking why my children had started getting Alexa to read them their favourite stories via Kindle rather than using Plex.
The WMA files play absolutely fine if played directly from the NAS drive without using Plex.
Anyway I could look to start converting all WMA files to MP3 but that seems like it should be unnecessary so thought I’d ask for some advice first. If I can provide logs for the developers please let me know what logs to get and I’ll happily provide them.
As far as I can tell all other audio and video playback works exactly as it should.
