Won't connect

I have a Samsung smart TV and the app won’t connect from my phone. It says we haven’t found any servers to connect to, even though it is connected to wifi and recognizes my account name.

But do you have any servers. Almost all of Plex’s functionality requires you have a server to stream local media or almost any Plex feature.

Yes, I have my internet server

Not “internet server” rather “Plex Server” that you download from Plex and install on your local computer to serve your media files that are hosted on your computer or some kind of network attached storage…

I have it on my phone, do I need a computer in order to download it?

I have been playing with it more this morning and it’s saying it won’t sync.

Plex is purposed as a media server for your own media. You’ll need a designated computer or NAS that runs the Plex Media Server. That Plex Media Server will organize your media which is either located on the server or a connected device (e.g. external HDD or network drive).
When you got that, you can play your Media from Plex apps such as the Plex client for your Samsung or your mobile (same goes for synching it to your mobile). All in all, Plex’ focus is always on the media of your own Plex Media Server (except for some connected online sources such as news, podcasts or web shows).

Apologies if this is stating the obvious… your questions make it sound like there might still be some misunderstanding.
So in order to get to your specific questions… do you have a Plex Media Server of your own installed (not just the client on your phone)?

Lol, there is a lot of confusion and I am not tech savvy. My roommate was able to connect his so easily, the only thing I’m seeing that’s different is our TVs. I feel, like it shouldn’t be THIS difficult, so, I must be doing something wrong. Just trying to figure it all out. It connects to my tv, but, my TV won’t show anything
