No matter what I do I’m unable to get Plex to play on my TV. It used to work fine but now I can only run things directly from the server. Doing it from the TV gives me an error of server unavaiable an I get nothing but the Plex built in movies.PLEASE HELP as I can hardly see My MacBook Pro computer screen as I have cellabar ataxia and my eyes won’t focus well on text. I have reinstalled Plex now numerous times and the server is always unavailable. Thanks in Advance
What TV platform / Plex client app is that where you experience this issue?
Have you linked the client app to use the same account that’s linked to your Plex Media Server?
Plex 1.29 on Samsung TV using ROKU
Works fine on my computer and iPhone but I get nothing but the basic Plex programs on the TV
I’m a bit confused about what exact version you’re using…
- There’s a Plex client for Roku – the latest version of that app is 7.0
- There’s a native Plex client on for Samsung TVs (Tizen) – the latest version of that app is 5.43
You didn’t mention if you were able to confirm that the app is signed in using the same account that’s linked to your Plex Media Server.
