Won't record a program because of guide naming

Basically, I know why it won’t record a program. The guide is setting the episode naming the same each week. I know that isn’t plex’s fault or Schedule Direct’s fault. So, is there any way to force plex to record a program and not check if you have it. When I was using NextPVR, it would record the program without issue using the same guide. And record it each week. Renaming and deleting the program doesn’t work. I tried all the solutions that I could find and I’m not going to re-install Plex every day to get the program. TIA

Maybe look into MCEbuddy? I use it to remove commercials (works better for me than PMS system) and to automatically convert to .mp4 and move to a different folder. I have it set to perform these tasks at 1am-4am (when I don’t think anyone will be watching the recordings) daily. Just an idea.

Thanks for the suggestion. But, the only issue I see with that, is that Plex still thinks we recorded it. Or am I wrong.

Well, I think I am wrong. Copied the file to somewhere else. Did a quick refresh after deleting it and the series showed up for one day. Now to automate the process. MCEBuddy? Ok I’ll check it out. Thanks.

if the guide shows the wrong name it is the fault of plex and should be fixed as all the other problems with the guide.

I don’t believe it is a Plex problem. Because it is one show of many I record and I haven’t had any issues otherwise. And it was present in the OTA guide, too. Thanks
