Wouldn't it be great if we could just mass edit library access?

After the breach, I even had to claim my Plex Media Server a few times. On itself it’s not that big of a deal, claim a token (at plex.tv/claim) as I use Docker to run my Plex Media Server in and you should be almost good to go (in a nutshell). But after the machine has been claimed, you need to set the library access again. When you have a lot of friends, it’s really taking more time than to actually claim a / the server.

Although the wizard is very user friendly, I still think it would be amazing if one could just select multiple friends where the same library access applies to and give the permissions in way less time. I am not sure if this has been asked before, I am sorry if it is.

The wizard is great as it is now, it just lacks support to be able to give/edit the permissions for multiple friends/people at once.

No you don’t.
If done correctly, all existing shares are retained.

If the shares are no longer there, it means that you managed to give your server a different “identity”. Probably by deleting the whole Preferences.xml file instead of just removing the 4 items mentioned in this article https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/

But that aside, there is already a feature suggestions for mass-editing shares.
