Wrong Image displayed for Sports Events

I’m using XMLTV for guide info and I’ve noticed that Plex does not use the icon referenced in the xml file for an individual episode, but instead uses a cached image for the show.

For example, we want to watch NBA Basketball and we look whats available for that “show”. We get four listings… (and our NBA Basketball show image is one for Sacramento vs. Golden State Warriors.)

If we were to click on each episode, the same image appears for each individual matchup despite having an accurate image in the xmltv programme for the episode.

Is this the intended behavior? Why isn’t plex using the image specified in the xmltv file, which is specific to the episode?

The first episode references this image in the xmltv file:

The second episode has the correct image.

Looks like someone else had this issue and noone bothered to respond to him.

Would be nice to get some feedback. Any reference to an article on what Plex supports when it comes to XMLTV files would be helpful.
