Xbox 360 Pro Plex playback issues since update

Sorry if this is in the wrong category, let me know if it needs to be changed. Ever since the last update, I’m having infuriating playback issues. I just updated again, I now have version 1.13.5.5291. I haven’t tested it yet, I will when I have a chance. The version just before it though has been giving me problems. It’s on an older Xbox 360 Pro, I don’t know what version of the Xbox app I have. I’m running a 60mbps connection, and changing the playback quality doesn’t seem to help. It’ll be playing, then it’ll stop and start loading. Not like the regular buffering where the video dims and you get the pinwheel, the screen goes black, goes to the background for the show when you’re in the menu before you start playing, then the pinwheel. Then it’ll go black again, playback reverts to 00:00, thinks for a second again, and then most of the time, returns to a few seconds before it left off and keeps playing. Sometimes, it’ll restart the video from 00:00 and I will have to fast forward and try to figure out where I left off. When I go back and hit play again, it doesn’t give me a resume option. It just completely forgets where it left off. This happens every 15 seconds to a few minutes. The odd time, it’ll give me a “Plex disconnected, please make sure server is on and accessible” to which I will have to hit play and resume. Most of the time it resumes from a few seconds before where I left off, sometimes it starts from 00:00, and sometimes it’ll just pick a random point in the video before where I left off (ex: I was watching a show, it cut out and disconnected at 20:00, when I hit resume, it started again at 08:00). If I’m 40 minutes into a show, and it disconnects and restarts from the beginning or anywhere else, it’s very annoying to have to fast forward to the point where I was, especially if I can’t remember exactly where I left off. I never had this problem before the update, and unless I missed something, I can’t seem to find any reports on the Plex forum of a similar recent problem. Has anyone else had this problem? Did you fix it? If so, how? Does anyone know if the most recent update resolved it? I know Xbox live has been problematic recently for anyone with an Xbox 360, Microsoft told me so themselves, could this be related? Any feedback helps. Thanks.

Chances are the Xbox 360 is falling victim to the fact that it has been unsupported for nearly a year. As can be seen here as of October 2017 it is unsupported and will not receive any future updates.

You are going to be seeing issues crop up as PMS moves forward and the Xbox 360 client can’t. Really your only options are to revert back until you find a version that will play for you or upgrade to a supported client.
