I really hope Plex gets an update soon for playing music in the background, used Plex in snap for this before, but snap is not available anymore so letā€™s all hope plex will support background music on the xbox one.

Any updates on this? I was about to push all of my collection to Plex but this stopped me immediately.

any update on this? Plex is so fully featured on Xbox, i canā€™t imagine any other feature would take precedence over this getting done right now. Please, you amazing plex gods, make this happen!

I just signed up for the software earlier today. Lacking this feature is a huge blow in my pro-con chart between Plex and an external hard drive. Please address!
(Maybe even a workaround like a download or even temporary download function for a playlist or queue?)

Been about a year since the update from an employee. Would love to hear if this is still something planned to happen at some point in the future.

This statement made me laugh. The app is missing so many things i cant keep track, and its buggy beyond belief.

Bumping this topic, particularly now since Plex does podcasts. Any hope on the horizon for this?

I very much desire this. It would easily be the best podcast app on the xbox if there was background audio.

Now that Plex is my primary podcast player this feature is doubly needed! What can we do to make this happen? Iā€™d even pay for tidal if it could be played as background audio on Xbox. Right now the only decent option is Spotify for Xbox.
