I was just wondering if anyone has tried this? I am considering buying an HdHomeRun but I mainly run Plex through my Xbox One. The antenna accessory for the Xbone does not work in my country so if it does work, this would be a huge bonus and a reason to get one straight away. Both the Tv’s in my home are equipped with and Xbox One and surround sound and Plex for media, so if this does work that would pretty much make my setup complete, also that and the only UHF Ariel (Outdoor antenna) in the house is no where near a tv lol
Leave feedback please, any info based on experience would be much appreciated
Hey there. To clarify the Plex Xbox One app supports playback of media recorded through the DVR, as with all of our apps. The HDHomeRun just needs to be connected to an aerial source (not the Xbox One Tuner) and connected to your network for your Plex Media Server to see and record from. Recording is not done on the Xbox One itself.

Thank you
I already knew it wasn’t done through the Xbox One or with the antenna adapter, I was just saying that my country doesn’t support it so the DVR feature would be really good.
One last question (I think), will the Xbox One app (or all of them) support playing live tv?
Cheers
Sorry I have another lol
Can you choose where the DVR stores the media? Could I dedicate a separate drive to it?
@IllMethods If we did support Live TV then yes the Xbox One app would likely support it. And you can choose where DVR stores the recordings. You can create a new library and point it to a folder wherever you want on your system.
