Xbox One Plex App (feature request)

  1. Browse movies/TV shows via genres.
  2. Zoom (change aspect ratio).

 

Right now I'm using an OUYA with XMBC to access my PMS (via the PlexMBC addon for XBMC).  Works flawlessly.  I'd love to route it through the Xbox One but unfortunately the Xbox One does not support DTS passthrough via the HDMI input, and PMS on the Mac won't allow me to simply transcode DTS (why the hell not, ugh) but apparently the PC version of PMS does (and I don't have a PC).

 

...so I reluctantly got a Plex Pass to see if the Plex app for the Xbox One would work.  Well, it technically works - but I have thousands of movies and don't want to sift through them all alphabetically.   :P

 

I also would like to use all of my TV screen realestate rather than see letterboxing (hey, that's just me).

2. Universal search by hitting the Y button like on the Netflix App. Then you can input the title.

Roku has it... why not Xbox One?

Yes, SD content does not goes full screen on my XBox 360. This is an essential feature.

any chance XB1 can get the "Extras" tab?? i have it on the roku but not xbox1

I'd like to see auto 24p switching, and in integration of libdcadec - the new open source DTS-MA decoder.

I'd replace my HTPC.
