Has anyone tried to direct play Blu-ray Remuxes with highbitrate video and HD audio inside an .mkv container?
I’m curious if this will work since I’ve tried it on my Xbox 360 and everything has to be transcoded by the PC.
Also, is the xbox one s able to bitstream HD audio to my home theater?

I direct stream Bluray rips all the time. The video is copied but the audio needs to be transcoded unless you rip a track in a supported format (IE one of the DD 5.1/2 tracks)

No, Microsoft does not provide a HD Audio decoder.
