Xbox One X Subtitle offset does nothing

Server Version#: Latest normal release for Synology NAS as of 8th Dec 2020, problem started several versions ago
Player Version#: Latest wide release version as of same date

When attempting to correct subtitles by using an offset, they cannot be fixed. The offsets don’t change anything. This only occurs on Xbox, not my pc or smart TV.

I do not know the version numbers when it started, but it was months ago.

I think it’s the same problem noted here, although this predates me having it by a long way:
