Xbox Series X 45 minutes - 60 minutes the Plex client freezes

Hi,
I have an Xbox Series X with my Plex client installed.
I have set passthrouth. All audio tracks are output perfectly.
After 45 minutes - 60 minutes the Plex client freezes.
It has also happened that the Plex client loses the complete configuration.
I cannot see any errors in the log files or on the screen. The Plex client hangs completely and has to restart the Xbox.

Without passthrouth we partially output PCM, is no comparable sound e.g. to TrueHD.

I have already reset the Xbox several times.
Xbox Series X and Plex Client are up to date.
The other apps like Netflix run without a problem.

I also have a TVShield in the same network, there are no problems.

Does anyone have the same problem?

Frank

Update January 16, 2025:

When I watch movies with 4K and DTS and AC3, the Plex app doesn’t crash.

When I watch a movie with 4K and TrueHD and DTS-HD and the data transfer increases, the Plex app crashes.

When the Plex app hangs and continues to run, the soundtrack is only PCM.

With TVShield, everything works fine.

I’m pretty sure the problem is the Plex app on the Xbox.

I hope a Plex developer checks out the forum. It’s a shame I can’t open a ticket with support.

I believe I have seen the same. Large 4k file with same audio type. I find it is 10 minutes in or so.

Have you enabled on screen debug and seen what errors occur when this happens?

I have already activated the log debug level. I can’t see anything unusual. The Plex client crashes completely. I probably can’t write any more errors.
If the Plex client crashes, I have to reconfigure the Plex client and re-register with Plex.
This must be an app Plex problem, everything works fine on the TV Shield.
