For information, I just installed Plex the other day, and the fix is still:
Please try with this path \localhost\c$\xml.xml instead of c:\xml.xml
FYI - I have Plex on a QNAP NAS. I’m downloading my xmltv,xml file to the Public share on the NAS, then use the following path in Plex to point to it - “/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Public/xmltv.xml” (without quotes). The electronic guide works great!
I am running Plex on Freenas and have place the xmltv.xml file in several locations but the path I point to always returns “invalid or missing file”. Any suggestions?
