I was not aware that there is an import EPG functionality
Can you tell me what instructions are you following that say you can do that ?

When you are setting up the dvr on the screen with the zip code. Instead of entering the zip code you can click on some text and specify the path for your xmltv file.

Thank you / could you try and get a log when soecifying an xml file and screenshot
Let’s first enable debug and verbose logging on the server /: settings / server / general - show advanced and Dave changes
Restart the server to get fresh log files created
Wait 5 minutes then do the import
Take a screenshot of any errors and get the zipped server logs and attach - do not crop the screenshot as would like to see time and url
The logs are obtained through Settings / server / help / download logs
Also Attsch the xml file used
Thanks
I am trying to find out if there is an issue with the syntax of the file
We do need the log and the XML file
Hi sa2000
I will get log and new XML file, later today for you

Thanks - have both debug and verbose enabled on the server
Hello,
got a similar problem: EPG by epgdata.com is reporting wrong format during reading.
Next to it, it would be helpful to export the Gracenote list to Excel to get some kind of search.
Last point: When assign the same Gracenote entry to multiple channels, Plex throws an exception but not naming the channels with the same EPG assignment.

Let me now if anything is missing

Excellent evidence - we have reproduced the error and raising it with the development team

Please try with this path \\localhost\c$\xml.xml instead of c:\xml.xml
That fixed the import - great - Thanks alot for all your help sa2000
But the XML import and Gracenote Guide is not alike.
When I look in my scedulede recording, some is missing when I use my Import.
When i look in my xml file they are pressent.
Mapping to the right XML channel
Attach new log file and xml import file
@livøvænget You might wanna take a look at EPG-DK
EPG based on YouSee data. Has all channels …
Thanks but my xml file is not the problem, use it with NextPVR, and no problem, I just want Plex to replace NextPVR
Hmm
With Gracenote the 2 recordings it a TV-Show
With xml file they are Set as movies , so they are not missing

@livøvænge
I am trying to understand what is happening
So looking into PAW PATROL. The first screenshot of the Recording Schedule shows planned recordings for 22nd April and 23rd April at 16:30 on each day. This is without using the imported xmltv epg.
When you imported it - the two entries do not show.
Could this be to do with setting New Recording Only / New and Repeat Airings ?
For that week 21 April to 27 April, The XML TV file had these entries
April 21 09:39 to 10:00 a 22nd January 2016 episode - channel 1870
April 21 10:01 to 10:15 a 20th November 2015 episode - channel 1870
April 22 06:09 to 06:35 a 12th November 2013 episode - channel 1870
April 22 16:40 to 17:05 a 12th August 2013 episode - channel 1684
April 23 06:07 to 06:30 a 12th November 2013 episode - channel 1870
April 23 16:40 to 17:00 a 12th August 2013 episode - channel 1684
April 24 09:19 to 09:45 a 12th February 2016 episode - channel 1870
April 25 09:19 to 09:45 a 20th February 2016 episode - channel 1870
April 26 09:19 to 09:45 a 20th February 2016 episode - channel 1870
April 27 09:19 to 09:45 a 20th November 2014 episode - channel 1870
channel 1684 does appear as valid - so I presume these are the two planned recording that are missing
April 22 16:40 to 17:05 a 12th August 2013 episode - channel 1684
April 23 16:40 to 17:00 a 12th August 2013 episode - channel 1684
They both show same date.
Where did you see that one is movie and the other guide shows it as TV?
