XMLConverter: No response from plex media server.

I can confirm that

I had the same problem and found the solution but this solution needs another solution.

Problem - Go to PlexMedia Server web - Settings - myPlex and uncheck "Require authentication on local networks"

Once I changed this, authentication went through. However, I would like to have this setting enabled because I have multiple Plex servers and multiple users in my house.

How can this be fixed?

I can confirm that fixed the issue for me, looks like you will need to add a myPlex username/password configuration option to Setting.py and then auth in.

MyPlex support is planned.

thanks anyways @f00b4r,

I fixed the problem myself, all is good nI have the same issue

Please bear in mind that no-one should be changing settings.py now - you can configure settings.cfg (generated on first run) but most users should not even need to alter this.

Strange, now it works fine. I dont know what exactly made it run or what the problem was... Sorry.

did you made any changes to make it works?

my library wont load once i go into trailers on my apple tv. everything seems to be fine but it wont load. when i log into my account here it says cannot connect to server. would that be the reason why the movies wont load on my apple tv? if so - how do i fix this? i have checked my firewall on the computer and it allows plexconnect

Scoot_1: Your issue has nothing to do with the login to the plex account. We currently do not support myplex, only local Plex Media servers. Please add a little more information to get help... see our wiki.

I was having the same problem. Turned out that my computer had two active interfaces. A 192.168.1.0 subnet for WiFi and 192.168.56.0 used by Oracle VirtualBox.

Plex Server was automatically binding itself to all interfaces.

Plex Server was configured to allow 192.168.1.0 subnet without auth.

PlexConnect was automaticaly detecting Plex Server on 192.168.56.0 subnet.

Adding 192.168.56.0/255.255.255.0 to the list of networks in Plex server fixed the issue.

Brilliant, thank you - you gave me the idea which led me to my issue!

I had inadvertently plugged into my second ethernet port last time I moved things around, which obviously has a different MAC address, which in turn meant it was being assigned a dynamic IP - oh the confusion!

I had the same problem and this solved it.
