Hello
I thought that XPlay allowed to play videos with subtitles without transcoding but apparently for certain subtitles, it is obliged to transcode.
So, the video jerks.
I have Plex on Synology DS216 +
Xplay only support a single language subtile to direct play, it will only allow you to DirectPlay the last one it finds for any given language, that why your 2nd French SRT will direct play.

The last one it finds where? In movie folder? What if you have more subtitles in folder? Which one is the last one?

Filters seem to be missing in XPlay version 1.2.2 with Plex Server 1.3.3.
Will prepare fix for this during first week of NY
It seams that LG QA doing job not good lol)) They have found mystic issues with embedded subtitles and audio problems =) but could not find real issues ⦠hope they dont follow this topic))))

I donāt know if this issue is already known.
The seek bar doesnāt display the right play time when I move over it with the magic remote.
So it is not possible to move directly to the wanted time to play.
Plex 1.2.2
PMS 1.2.7
Ok ⦠will check tomorrow and try to fix it in the nearest fixed version
thx

there are some nuances of how I (XPlay) can handle embedded subtitles ⦠the app decides how it can handle them and show the possible variants. Everything depends from TV OS (webOS) ⦠even because of this functionally I had some problems with LG but after a small skirmishes with them it seams that the allowed me to continue using at least this (cutted) functionality ⦠but the question for how long and will this functionality available if I register a major update as a separate app (will use the same activation status as original XPlay) or not ⦠that is the question

For eg a media file contains one French and 2 Engish embedded subtitle tracks ⦠it will able to show French and one Engilsh track ⦠the second Engilsh track mast be transcoded (burned on media frames). The problem is that I can ask webOS to show embedded subtitles only a language code. And if it contains two subtitles tracks with the same language codes it will able to show without transcoding only one of them.
Good evening, here france ;))
I initiated a multiplexing of the video file with a single forced subtitle.
Xplay does not require transcoding.
But badly displayed subtitles
After update the app is not working anymore it shows the main page but when I click on a movie it shows the xplay logo and the spinning circle. What can I do?

I fix this issue was a bat IP on my tv but now I canāt see the whole movie images, the app cuts the half of the movie with a black screen, I tried with other apps and movies are OK, this also started after update, any help buddies?

You should read the previous posts. @bublikoff is working on this bug (and others) and they will be probably fixed in the next release.

Hello Bublikoff. I have a problem with this. (But first, thank you very much for fixing XPlay to work with the latest PMS.) I have a media with four subtitles embedded, one for each of four different languages, each properly marked with the language tag.
Yet, no matter what subtitle language I ask for, i always and only get the one for the same language (which happens to be the first one in the file). If I ask to play with transcoding, then I get the right subtitle I asked for. Is this a expected behaviour or a known problem? Can you explain this? It seems to fit the description above, but there is no question that Iāve got subtitles for four different languages, not two for the same language. Iād like to avoid transcoding if possible. The video is HEVC packed in MKV, it seems to work ok with the Plex client (Iāll have to double check whether with transcoding or direct play though).
For the people with subtitle problems: just make sure you use external subtitles, they all work without transcoding. Plex can automatically download them if you install the Sub-Zero channel.
Sorry for long silence just had health problems ⦠a high fever and a sore throat ⦠almost 3 days laying in bed) nice beginning of New Year))))

Hi, any plans for releasing a Netcast version ? Iāve seen xplay in action on webos and it was perfect.
I was thinking to support them ⦠current version for webOS is actually support latest NetCast ⦠but last try I tried to run it on NetCast emulator I had some issues. And I dont fully understand why they happen. As I remember there was a problem with HTTPS resources communication. Ive tried to ask about it on developers forum but did not received the answer. It might be a problem of Netcast emulator. And as Ive no real NetCast TV for testing I give up with this idea ⦠at least for the moment

I need to check it ⦠as I dont use subtitles at all.
You may already read about problems with LG ⦠they have even removed information in API documentation for embedded subtitles after my posts on LG developers forum. They even rejected the app one time with some list of issues ⦠and one of this issues was a problem with embedded subtitles ⦠but after my comments to LG QA that its just a web app and it just uses LGās API for it ⦠which used to work in previous versions ⦠they have finally accepted the app without any notice. And for the moment I dont fully understand ⦠as I did not make any changes in appās sources⦠why they have accepted the latest version
had issues with āsubtitlesā and āsound issueā? Did they allow to the app to use this secret API or not ⦠too many question to LG about strange situation when they remove API after my topic on LG developers forum. As I could understand someone accidentally published hidden functionality (but probably which is available for some priority partners/developers).

Its not always suitable as for eg a media file has different audio track with own subtitle track ā¦
