To clarify a little. So PGS works if I transcode it but if I use srt external it starts the movie but doesnt show any text at all
Has STR external subs the same name of video?
They have and they show up and I can choose them but when it starts playing they just doesnt show up. Tried with some movies that worked before and now they doesnt work at all. Same with every movie. The subs works in the official plex app but then again it transcode the movies
Apologies for the long post. I know this question has been asked many times before but I have been trying to get XPlay to install for months on my LG tv with no luck. I canât watch anything on my LG Plex app anymore without freezing or buffering and it doesnât log in automatically either - I have to type a pin code in sometimes 5-10 times until it decides it wants to work, as it doesnât remember to Sign In Automatically. I have reset my tv numerous times, reinstalled the app, downgraded the software, transcoding, direct play and direct stream settings and more but it constantly comes back with errors. The short of it is I need to find a way to install XPlay, so I donât have to use the LG Plex app anymore.
My LG is a 55LA690V-ZB with software version 04.28.14. I have tried to install XPlay on 3 different USB sticks formatted to Ex-Fat, with only the 1 unzipped developer folder. When I plug this into my LG tv, I can see the delevloper folders but it does not display the actual app. I have signed in and out of my LG account and tried all USB ports on my tv but it still doesnât display the actual app. I would really appreciate any help to get this working for me! My last resort is to buy an AppleTV to use Plex this way, but I would rather use XPlay after reading all the feedback over the years. I really hope you can help me, youâre my only hope!
I have the same issue with subtitles (SRT, all OCRed with the same tool). Only one of my movies have the subtitles working.
I tried embedded and external and no luck.
Also some audio tracks are swapped. I select the AC3 and it plays the commentary track (in a movie with TRUEHD, AC3, AC3 commentary).
Also if it helps, the one movie where subtitles are working have only one audio (DTS), one subtitle (PGS) and one SRT (this one works).
On the non working movies, thereâs at least 2 audios (TRUEHD and AC3, because TRUEHD doesnât seem to work with the E6), I will try with another movie with only 1 DTS to see if the subtitles work, maybe itâs relatedâŠ

Actual Plex Server version dont work with USB version.
Format of USB is incorrect. FAT32 is the correct format for xPlay and your TV.
Hi risesa, I have tried FAT32 formatted USB as well, and experienced the same problem. Please can you confirm what you mean by Plex Server version donât work with USB version? What version of the Plex server should I have? Iâm sorry to ask, but would really love to get this working. Should i be installing a specific version of XPlay when trying to setup?

Iâm not sure. I think version 1.0.3 or lower because upper version change his structure and xPlay dont show nothing
Thank you for your help, although it still doesnât show up after downgrading, so maybe it just isnât compatible with my LG model. I will keep trying over the next couple of days and if not, will have to buy something else to watch Plex on i guess.
Donât know if it will help anyone but I had to factory reset my TV in order to update it which required an Xplay re-install. I couldnât get it to work, Iâd click on my user enter my pin and just spin forever. The I tried my main user (which I only use on my server for administration), that logged it into the server now all my other users work and I am using it right now. Probably basic stuff but it was frustrating for a little bit!
Thanks again for all the work, big fan of xplayâs interface, light years better than standard Plex.

xPlay is for WebOS TV, your TV is Netcast.
Download Playz and put it on USB.

Thanks!

It works perfectly on mine. You can trial it for a few days.

I use xplay for a few days xplay. For a TV series after the end of an episode, the next automatically starts. Is it possible to disable this function?
In current version âNOâ.
Can you explain why you need such functionality? Actually it used to behave this way at the beginning but ppl asked me to change the behavior to current variant
Hi, a simple example. When I watch TV series and fall asleep,
The next morning all episodes are marked as watched
I found it on the LG Store and downloaded directly on my LG55B6V.
Itâs now up and running, but I canât play a single file.
Since I tried to play the titles I have on the LG native app with no result (âThe movie canât be playedâ was the message I got), I thought XPlay coyuld have been a workaround.
So **I unchecked the **"Use Direct Play mode (donât transcode on the Plex Media Server side, the media will be sreamed as-is"box in the settings page.
Accessing the .mkv files on my Plex Server I get a red warning: âThe media will be transcoded by the Plex Media Server before being streamedâ that sounds correct, but I get NO RESULT IN PLAYING WHATEVER FILE and the message I get is âThe video could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supportedâ. Please advice!!!
No to the first question (this is the reason why Iâve tried XPlay).
Yes to the second, theyâre located on internal and external HDDs seen by the OS (W10, BTW). If I use MPC to open them, they run perfectly. Iâm currently trying to uninstall and reinstall PMS again (FWIW). File type is MKV.
