When using Xplay with my LG OLED B7V the subtitles are getting HUGE, even tho i have chosen to have extra small subtitles. Does anyone know how i can fix this? Its really annoying to have super big subtitles. Photo below

Subtitle preferences only works for external SRT subtitles so make sure you have those. Doesnāt work for embedded subs due to limitations of the LG API.
Hi everybody and Happy New Year to all us you.
Will it be possible to navigate looking for films by folders ?
And congratulations for such a good Xplay !

Hmm, i never use default subtitles on from the movies, i always let Plex download subtitles (i use the subzero plugin). Any settings that can fix this? The Subtitles are really huge on my 55 inch TV
Iāve been using Xplay for months, but lately Iām having some issues with the aspect ratio, when I play 720p videos, they doesnāt fill the entire display they have the original resolution
Is this the right thead if i want to wish for E-AC3 support or is the best way by email to Xplay?
Regards Daniel
Whats the latest version of this APP for webos 2.0? Seems there hasnāt been an update for almost a year on my TV.
Playing back 4k movies results in audio sync issues, when direct played.
When you get to the end of a row moving right is it possible to advance to the next set of thumbnails when hitting right again (same thing for moving left)? Right now you have to move up and select the arrow to advance which is slow.

Depending on your model you can use the scroller to browse pages ![]()
Just tried to watch Dunkirk 4k via Xplay. Buffered constantly for some reason. I monitored the network activity on my server and it never went above ~50Mbps? Ended up watching it through the built in DLNA app and it maxed the 100Mbit port on the TV without hiccups. No buffering at all. So something seems messed up with Xplay on these high bitrate files.
1080p files works great though! Great app overall and much better than the official Plex one.
I have problem with the audio on WebOs 3.5, when i plug my headphones in the TV only left speaker on the headphone works and right is not, but when i exit the movie or clip and replay it again sound is on both speakers. This only happens in Xplay, on native Plex client this never happens. Any idea if i can fix it or is it a bug?
Navuho i got the same problem sometimes i only get sound in the left speaker and when i replay it works.

@bublikoff I just love Xplay but I have an issue when playing 4k file from my NAS. While some play flawlessly, Iām having some issues with some of them as they pause to buffer. Is there any way to increase the buffer size or something like that? I can see this happen on the progress bar when it reaches the buffer limit. Is this TV depended?I had the same experience with my old NAS where the files where stored and an old MacBook serving the files. I now have a DS416Play and can play everything smooth with PMS on the NAS itself. So XPlay can definitely play them, probably NAS power or network problem.
Probably canāt even adjust the buffer size since XPlay just uses the build in player.
Yeah, I thought about NAS power too, but Iām looking at the real time usage and itās not even at 50%.
The network is not an issue as everything is Gigabit. Also tried the TV on 2.4GHz and 5GHz, same issue. And itās weird as some 4K files play flawlessly.
For me it wasnāt the CPU either, nor the network but it seemed the NAS was just not fast enough to read and pass it with enough speed over the network. If the 4k movie was on the NAS and my Macbook running Plex Server it would not play without buffering. When it was directly on the Macbook it would run smoothly. Maybe test read speed of your local network and NAS. The fact that itās all Gigabit doesnāt say anything about if the NAS is able to deliver high network-speeds.
Sorry if Iām bumping old post.
Iām running similar setup, storing 4K hevc filed on nas and running server on iMac. The 4K file is about 20mb/s. no matter what I use, internal Plex server, xplay or Plex, it pauses when play. Itās direct play.
I suppose above setup actually stream files directly from my nas to my LG tv? So moving server doesnāt make a dofferencr her.

Your NAS is probably not powerful enough to handle the network speed required for 4k files. I switched to a DS416 Play and can now stream anything directly from the NAS. A workwound is to store the 4k files on YouTube iMac and play them from there.

I wonder how much power is needed for direct streaming, I thought the transfer performance only relies on the size of file.
what about youtube imac? do you mean upload the 4k video to youtube and play it from youtube?
ok it seems to depend if the file was encoded with a constant bit rate which pins the network transfer to 98Mbps and gives me buffering every now and then, or variable which see anywhere between 8-80 depending on what needs to be displayed

Doesnāt seem to work on my LG B7A.
Strange bug, on video with aac audio, xplay output it to DD (or the tv arc port, I donāt know, iām ok with that), but the sound is only coming from the left speaker (even if my AR show right and left). Playing the same video in plex on my nvidia shield tv, no problemā¦
On my plex server, all videos uses the IMDB star ratings, but the ratings on xPlay isnt the same as the one i have on my plex server. Does anyone know why xPlay doesnt use the chosen ratings as the one on plex server?
