As @bublikoff mentioned multiple times, there is no (official) API for subtitles in WebOS to be used, so everything that works, works because LG supports it (because XPlay basically uses the build in player). If we want more, we should contact LG to support this and include a (documented) API. This includes manual substitute offset overwrites.
Hi; any more thoughts about enabling XPlay to be a âcompanion playerâ? Iâve started using Alexaâs Plex skill but it only works with companion players, e.g. the official client. Given that XPlay is far superior Iâd rather use that if possible.
well i resolve all my issues by installing Plex media player image on a raspberry pi3 âŚ
All videos playing and by re-mapping some keys i can change subs and audio offset.
Only downside is that all subs must be UTF-8 (there is a program that can mass change subs).
Hmm has there been a new release? Language (audio) is not working correctly. It plays english even if i select danish. Works with plex.

If youâre using Plex Home then each launch of the app will ask for the user
to select their profile - which will handle the individual histories.
So is there no way to do this without a Plex Pass? I know itâs not much, but it is another monthly subscription.

Hi there.
I hope that is ok if i make a request here.
I will like to have the option to delay the subtitle. Not every subtitle perfectly fit and sometimes i need to adjust the time. Letâs say that for a max. 10 sec is ok with 0,5 sec steps.
I hope to have at least a response if itâs possible on next updates to have that option.
Thank you.Ye ⌠some users already have requested this feature ⌠but Ill probably add it to the major update. I dont think that new functionality will be added to current version. The last one was update functionality without LG QA ⌠I can fix issues a bit faster way
hello, is this feature added? I really need to sync adjust, delay, speedup SubtitlesâŚ
Thanks to all

âThe Plex Home feature requires an active Plex Pass subscription for the Home administrator Plex account.â
Itâs one of the main features of Plex Pass, so will definitely need one to enable it - unless thereâs a 3rd party solution for it (not aware of one).
Seems itâs going to take forever for the new version to be released. Donât get me wrong, I understand a man can be busy
but I just hope youâve considered making this project open source, or at least let others join the development of the project so things can speed up a bit. Curious about the status of the new version!

I do understand your feelings ⌠I do also like use latest apps versions ⌠I do use latest beta or even alpha versions of firmware for my smartphones or other hardware âŚ
But new version is a completely new app ⌠with some new features ⌠and some other aspects also were improved. I do also faced with some tech problems that must be fixed before I can release it to apps store.
Anyway for the moment I need to deal with some issues to start early public tests. To not deal with LG QA Team Ive added button to start devel version directly from current version. Probably I will make it available form some ppl to get feedback and catch other problems that were not cough by me.

Looking forward to the new version, will live TV be part of it?
bublikoff can i meaby hellp with a Danish translation?

Why would you want live TV on a TV that already does live TV?
how come some subs i select ( like thai ) forces transcoding therefor i loose the HDR aspect of a movie ?
is there some setting i am missing somewhere some subs dont have a big red (T) next to it and a lot do
with latest version 20180222.128 something broke the sound when the characters talks, canât hear anything.
edit: seems to be working now.

thansk mate had a read, did this
Open the .mkv in MKVToolNix and click on the subtitle. You can then select the language. When itâs undetermined Xplay is transcoding.
Choose a language or change the forced option and save the .mkv.
Always woks for me.
but didnt work still had the red T
bit of a bummer

The sub has to be an srt. PGS wonât work.
Only keep 1 .srt with a correct language.
Yes sorry, forgot to add this⌠no transcoding is only possible with text based (SRT) subtitles.
Most of the time the subtitles are already integrated into the MKV, BUT you can also download additional SRT files (let´s say, only for forced subs) for example from opensubtitles.org, name the file correctly (file name exactly as the MKV plus language code) and put it in the same directory as the MKV.
Plex is able to detect this external subtitle and you don´t need transcoding any more.
