EPG format JTV not supported?
To help you I need the log from your console
To help you I need the log from your console
What exactly is JTV?
Where is the log located?
Start xTeVe in the console, there will be the error messages.
Discovered a small bug. Using my own .m3u with links from an IPTV provider. While testing I found some links that didn’t play. When I tested the link in VLC it would work. Looking closer, I found the links that didn’t work had a empty line following. When I removed the spaces and configured it again, presto, they all work. Just an FYI.
I too am getting a crash whenever xTeVe does an automatic scheduled update of the M3U and TVXML files (manually refreshing them works fine).
I managed to screen record the xTeVe.exe window to see exactly when it quit… it was at this point…
I re-tried several times (by changing the schedule time) and the it quit at the same point every time.
Strangely, I tried using an app (CRP) to re-open xTeVe in the event of a crash, but this just ends with xTeVe in a crazy crashing/re-opening loop. However, if I let it crash and then re-open it manually it works fine
I can only assume that CRP is re-opening xTeVe too quickly.
Which provider is the XMLTV file?
I found the bug. Today there will be an update, then it is fixed.
Perfect, great work!
does xteve have to be started first before Plex?
No it doesn’t. As long as its running when you are actually adding as a tuner and whenever you try to watch anything it should work.
So I am a little puzzled. All is set up and working. When in PLEX I go to record a TV show (not a movie), PLEX only gives me the option of recording it as a movie, not a TV show. Some TV shows work fine, but some do not. Any thoughts?
The categories takes Plex from the XMLTV file, if there are none available, everything in Plex is a movie.
There will be a solution soon.
When starting Plex every DVR tuner is searched, if xTeVe should still be off, Plex looks 1-2 times per hour, if xTeVe is running. Only then will it be displayed as available.
Playing a stream is also possible if Plex thinks the tuner would be switched off.
Starting xTeVe before Plex results in less confusion.
Update is now available (1.0.3), thanks for your effort.
Can you please add the changelog (to the first post, as well)?
Thanks YOU @marmei for the excellent work!
EDIT: how can we force xteve to update itself?
I’ve updated and made it do a scheduled refresh - happy to report all is good
